Production did continue a little longer but was moved to Japan, with completely new guitar designs from 1969.
The 1966 Epiphone catalog was the last to be produced under the ownership of CMI, and the last to feature guitars built in the legendary Gibson Kalamazoo plant in Michigan USA.
